Depends. Why DID you choose electrical engineering? Is this answer not good enough? I chose it because I both love and am really good at math and physics, and engineering is the perfect combination of both. Did you chose it because of the $$$ you can make as an engineer? If you did, don't say that. It sounds to me like "someone" means someone who might be able to give you a job. If so, give them some answer that says that you love it, you are really good at it, and you will love it and be really good at it for their company. Otherwise, if its just you dog asking you why, tell him " what do you care? you eat your own @#$%! for crying out loud!"

When somebody asks you that, answer this:
It is my passion, my dream and my life..
I dream of engineering when I eat, when I sleep, when I play, when I dream, when I am sad and when I am happy...
--or this--
My uncle was like Bill Gates to me, and he was an electrical engineer..
--or this--
My friends are all here, and so am I..
--or this--
Everybody said I look good, If I am an electrical engineer
--or even this--
why the hell won't you shut up?
