I use an auxiliary battery in a Volkswagen Westfalia camper and, until now, it gets recharged with the alternator when the vehicle is running. I have just installed a 15-watt solar panel on the roof to provide charging when the vehicle is stationary for several days. I have installed a voltage regulator to prevent overcharging. When the vehicle is running, the battery would be getting charge from both the solar panel and the alternator. Can I safely do this or do I have to disconnect the solar panel every time I turn on the engine? Thank you for your help.

It is an electronic switch that can alternate at high frequencies. Stay on or stay off etc...

But how does the silicon in a transistor conduct a flow of electrons to one leg or another, without any problem.

It is one thing to know and accept this, but to understand it is what I want to do.

Something I always wondered when getting into and elevator. I've never gotten into one that has one of these fancy escape hatches overhead. Does any of the major manufacturers actually produce models with escape hatches. Or is this something that can be bought as an extra option. the expensive hatches overhead and the cheap ones underneath LOL
So is it just hollywood or do such elevators exist.
