We are going to have a home inspection done on our first home and we were thinking of skipping the radon test because the basement is not really livable. At the most we would be using it for storage so we are not planning to spend much time at all down there.

However, we were thinking of putting our cat's litter box in the basement. Then I wondered if radon could affect my cat like it would in humans? I know radon can cause lung cancer and do not wish for that to happen to my cat. Does anyone know if it will affect animals the same as people?

I have some green fluorite that a jeweler wants to purchase, but I don't know what to charge per carat.

I haven't been able to find what to charge per carat and I don't care what people on E-Bay are selling them for (especially since green fluorite is very rare and chances are most people on there don't have true fluorite). I appreciate ANY help!

I'm trying to find out which is better for the planet... For plastic that can not be recycled (at least not anywhere near where I live)... Is it better to incinerate (burn) it or take it to the landfill where it will sit for the next few thousand years putting chemicals in the groundwater etc? Thanks for any thoughts and comments.
