when we place the mirror in the direction of rays of sun,the mirror gets hot while when it is placed beside the direction of rays of sun,it does not get hot.why????????

I think we just had a random boom of static electricity. My lights wavered a bit, never actually went OFF... but my computer did, came back on to the same spot it was in, but I turned it off anyway.

I hear a couple car alarms.

Wtf was that? It made no noise, there's no lightning... it IS humid outside due to some rain earlier...

was it a random boom of static?

I'm kind of scared.. I'm in TN btw.

A couple years ago i went out with my dads friends and him and it was night-time to the beach. When we went there, the water glowed like a glow-in-the-dark star you put on your childs ceiling. Im trying to find out what this is called so i can find out when the next one comes in, anyone help? =)

hello. i'm in the midst to register my second yr courses and i want to study geology. however, physics was not a requirement in my first year, but somehow i think it is very important. since i'm running out of time, i hope you guys can advise whether to take physics or not. here's the detail about the physics course i would like to take: topics include mechanics, waves, electricity and magnetism, fluid flow, thermal physics, and elements of wave-particle duality. so, does these topics relevant in becoming a successful petroleum geology??? many thanks
