I think we just had a random boom of static electricity. My lights wavered a bit, never actually went OFF... but my computer did, came back on to the same spot it was in, but I turned it off anyway.

I hear a couple car alarms.

Wtf was that? It made no noise, there's no lightning... it IS humid outside due to some rain earlier...

was it a random boom of static?

I'm kind of scared.. I'm in TN btw.

Sounds like ball lightning. Look it up on the Web.

It was probably lightning, but far enough away so you did not see or hear it. It probably caused a power surge in a nearby power line or substation which propagated to your area.
