when we place the mirror in the direction of rays of sun,the mirror gets hot while when it is placed beside the direction of rays of sun,it does not get hot.why????????

are you serious? how is the title physics question and yur in the environmental science/geology section? there is a physics section

I guess it the first position it is absorbing the heat energy more directly.
