the 1st and only other earthquake i ever felt was the big one(8.0) here in the bay area(san francisco area) in california

scared me half to death since i was only 6 at the time and i didnt even know the word earthquake until that one arrived.

i dont know if its some mental block or mind over matter but i dont feel them.

today i guess we had one around a 4.0 and the guys next door ran over to see if i was okay and i was like....dude you trippin.

so what gives? mental block? mind over matter? or do i just happen to be right place at the right time to avoid them?

What would the earth look like, sound like, would there be an earth at all, just like the old story, if no one sees a tree fall down in the forest, it really didn't fall down.

I want to know the number of scientists whose careers are based on exploring climate change, and how many support global warming and how many deny it.

What is there to worry about? Is death a legitimate risk, and if so, does it depend where you are during the earthquake? For instance, if you're driving down the freeway, and a big earthquake hits, do you say your prayers? Or if you're in a skyscraper in Downtown Los Angeles, are those things built to withstand earthquakes? What will happen up there? What if you're in your house? Just curious as I'm moving to LA and would like to know just how much of an impact a big earthquake can have on the average person.
