As some of the answers are more interesting than the question ..... Can Mr Taco be sure zero is really zero. Can you measure zero? Even trying to measure zero may make it change and become not equal to zero any more. What is the meaning of life if you cant take anything away from it or add nothing to it? If you cant add nothing to one then you must be able to add something cos thats the law of double negatives.

...wow...okay yeah.
0 = nothing. NOTHING AT ALL.
So by adding nothing to 1, 1 stays the same b/c nothing happened.
