Something fishy about that. What about the other 5 varieties of kriptonite (red, blue, gold, white, and green), aren't they suppose to do any damage?

I read a book my Louis Lamore (sp?) that said there is a canyon in Idaho bigger than the Grand Canyon.

And I read "Desert Solitaire" (favorite book) stating there are 1 or 2 canyons near Moab, UT that are bigger than the Grand.

So I want to know if this is true & where the canyons are and what their names are.

The earth have gone through extreme conditions and
extreme temperatures. Could it be possible that the radioisotopes decayed much very much faster, making it look like the earth is billions of years old?

I'm trying to find any natural resources on my country that can be utilized in industrial quantities. I have no strong background in geology nor on what materiel are made from. So In order to achieve my goal. I tried to find any a guide that show me what is the material are made from, and where to find these substances from which these materials are made. for example:
- what the glass are made from (which substance of earth)?
- what ceramics are made from?
- what solar cells are made from?
- where gold usually found?
etc ...

I know this is a vague question. But any hint will be appreciated.
thanks

If the atmosphere is warming then heat within the earth can't escape as quickly. How will this effect volcanic and earth quake activity. I'm not asking about al gore, or what causes global warming, or if it is actually occuring. I want to know, hypothetically, how, "if" it is occuring, it will effect geological activity?
