Scientists tell us the moon's gravity is very weak compared to earth's gravity. So why would it cause tides in the seas yet the earth's gravity is stronger? It does not make sense because we are told people can literally float on the moon due to its weakness yet it slightly pulls our water thousands of miles away!

This is to settle an argument.
Who came up with the rule that if two objects are dropped from the same height in a vaccuum, they will fall at an equal rate of speed and hit the ground at the same time, regardless of weight difference.
I say it was Isaac Newton. Someone else says Galileo.
I'll need a web address for a page that will prove the correct answer.
Thanks!

some blame global warming on humans and what we introduce into the atmosphere. Is it really us? or Is what we do introduce in the atmostphere already existing in what the earth does naturally in a earth's cycle? Personally I do beleive that the earth is getting warmmer, but not from us. but from the earth's natural cycle. however if what we are producing is not be produced by the earth naturally. Then, i would have to rethink my position

The size of crystals in igneous rocks is generally a function of the rate of cooling. However, within the same rock crystal size does not necessarily reflect the order of crystallization for individual minerals. Without using Bowen’s Reaction Series, how might you determine the order of crystallization of minerals in an individual rock sample? (Hint: Think about the texture).

I am confused!! Can some one help me answer this question?
