If the world ended, then time would end too, and there would be no moon. It's kind of like the question "If a tree fell in the forrest and no one was around would it make a noise?"

Well if the world ended today, they wouldn't be enough time to get to the moon. That and it is uninhabitable

Maybe they are and no one told you about it? Do you usually travel in the kind of circles that would do that kind of thing like astronauts or billionaires? I don't either.
