Napkins at McDonalds are from recycled paper.
Coca Cola bottles have been recycled as far back as I can remember. Once upon a time you could take an empty glass coke bottle back to your local grocery store and receive as much as 5cents a bottle for that local grocery store to buy it back...so it could be recycled by Coca Cola.
Course back in those days,Coca Cola did not melt down the glass and reconstruct the bottle, they sanitized the bottles and refilled them.
Women have recycled clothes for years either by having several children in one family wear them or by reusing the material to make other items such as patches for holes in clothing,to make potholders and quilts.
Stop and think of the hair that is being recycled.
Lock of Love take donations of long hair donated by women AND men so that wigs can be made for people who have lost their hair because of cancer treatment.
Old wooden fences are being recycled by turning them into useful yard furniture, planters and picture frames.
In one way or another, there has been a form of recycling for years and as the years go by we discover more and more ways we can be "Earth Friendly".

Old tires are being used to make purses, belts, etc. Plastics are just recycled to use again as plastic bottles, etc. I'm sure it's the same as far as glass is concerned.
