When I got it from my friend she was told it was a type of yucca. I've looked up yucca trees and can't find one that looks like mine. I'm kind of doubting that its a yucca now. If someone who has experience with this sort of thing would contact me directly, I could e-mail a picture of the plant and you could e-mail me back! Thank you for any help!

i have a tree in my back yard, but i dont know what kind it is.
the leaves have like 3 sections to it, and its sort of like a little jaggedy on each section, that sorta looks like a mountain. if u cant help me tell what type of leaves they are or the type of treem then can u tell me where i can find out?
i think that this type of tree is VERY COMMON, but i just dont know what type. this might help also: there are fuzzy catterpillars that grow on it called "banded tussock moth catterpillars, or pale tussock moth catterpillars"
thanx.
also, if u need more info, and since i cant post it here, please email me at sasha6321@yahoo.com
thanx.

I just finished the Life of Pi and was intrigued with his encounter with the "carnivorous island." Is that true or just fiction? Also, the introduction makes it sound like it is meant to be a true story. I assume it isn't. Is this correct?

many plants are adapted by nature so that their seeds are dispersed over a great distance. for some plants the seeds are scattered when birds and other animal eat the fruit. because many types of seeds are protected by a coating that is not easily digested, system unharmed. the seeds can be dispersed anywhere the animal travels. other types of plants produce fruit that is covered with sharp barbs that make the fruit difficult, if not impossible, to eat. in these plants the barbs attach themselves to an animal's fur. the animal disperse the seeds as it rubs against the ground or a tree in an effort to get rid of the unwanted hitchhikers.

which of the following factors is most related to the ability of an animal to disperse the seeds of a mulberry tree over a great distance?
1. the speed of the animal while running
2. whether the animal
3. the types of predators that hunt the animal
4. whether the animal migrates in winter
5. the size of the animal

I like collecting wild mushrooms and i think one of the tastiest is the fairy-ring champignion, but i can never understand how the fairy-rings form. I read that its because of the way the spores travel away from the parent mushroom but when the parent grew in a ring that doesn't make sense. I'd like to think that there's a good non-magical explanation for it...

If the benefit of talking to plants is the CO2 they get, has anyone heard of any studies to test if farting on plants will also make them grow better?

The top contributor in Botany has only asked 12 questions in 2 years according to his profile while he has answered tens of thousands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the heck is up with that!?!?!? Is he some kind of extraterrestrial life-form??? No, of course not because an alien would have a lot of questions. It just seems absolutely bizzare to me!
