Some people use pine tips rather than the needles to make pine needle tea. The tea has about the same level of ascorbic acid as lemon juice.

Pine needles taste really bad and have other compounds in them that are probably not good for you.

Why bother -- get your vitamin C from pleasant sources like green peppers, orange juice, etc. It is all the same compound. The source makes no difference.

Pine needles are not digestible, but you don't have to eat the needles to get the vitamin A and vitamin C (which they have plenty of). Just chew on them for a while, and your saliva will carry the vitamins out of the needles. Then spit out the needles.

After 8 anxious minutes of grappling, humping, biting and lunging, his film crew will finally pin down the mighty Yamster then take their positions, ready to document a gruesome primitive act of survival. Bear will skin the Yamster, taking no heed to giving the animal a respectful, honorable death. After adding a few sequins and hemming the gums, he'll sew himself into the hide using a sewing kit he stole from his mom. A Yamster suit. Brilliant.
