I am allergic to corn (syrup, starch, raw, cooked....),
and I was wondering what plant family corn is in. The only plant family I am familiar with is the Nightshade family (tomato, potato, tobacco, pepper, ground cherry, nipplefruit...), and I would like to know what family corn is in. Thanks.

Some Russians and Rumanians claim that negative "air ions" makes plants grow 43% faster. Is this proven? Are plant growers using this in any commercial scale today? Can it reduce dependency on fertilizers and pesticides? Can it ge used by people in organic farming? Or, is this just hype by device manufacturers?

Sorry this is a dead boring question, but I'm curious! As they ripen, do they become more acidic or basic. I think when they are just growing and start to just grow riper, they become acidic and as they ripen/rot they become more base...am I right? Or is there no change at all...?
