We do not know how to put together an egg splattered on the floor to its original condition such that a chick could hatch from it. Someone capable of producing all the ingredients of an egg in a laboratory and put all those together in exactly the way they are in a natural egg would still not be able give life to it.

1) name three traits common to all arachnids (insects) does not have to be scientific. ie: all have antennaes.

2) state why behavioral traits, such as "preys on small insects" or "spins intricate web," would not be apporpriate for many dichotomous keys. when might such trait help identify an organism?

3) how is "dichotomous" an appropriate word to describe keys you used and constructed in this lab.

4) how is the construction of a key different from the construction of classification system.

How Smart is Your Right Foot?
I bet that you cannot do this.

1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot
off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the
air with your right hand. Your foot will change
direction.

WHAT DO YOU THINK IS GOING ON?

(For those who claim that they can do this, are you drawing the number "6" from top of the 6 or from the inside out? Play fair now).
