While I hate to do homework problems:

b)

Reason: Hypotheses have to be falsifiable. This is not one that can be falsified.

This is a problem shared by all historical sciences, by the way. Archaeology, etc. is usually purely descriptive, from a philosophy of science point of view. Nothing can be explained.

And yes, outside of mathematics and formal logics, no hypothesis can be proven. So c and d are out.

If you don't believe me - how would you design an experiment that could possibly falsify the hypothesis? It's not possible. It's always possible to define the terms later, so a) is out.

There is no way to test this hypothesis scientifically, hence b) is the problem. It is not possible to falsify it.

Bacteria is a one celled organism. They communicated by proteins and electrical pulses, similarly to any other cell. Body language requires sight. Because bacteria do not have eyes to see, they can't really use body language.

Why do you in the first place think that that's how bacteria communicated? You have nothing to support you didnt even explain how you arrive there. This is ridiculous.

It's very difficult to PROVE anything outside mathematics, especially something that occured in pre-history.

Ejsenstej,

How do any scientists hypothesize about the past, then?
