We do not know how to put together an egg splattered on the floor to its original condition such that a chick could hatch from it. Someone capable of producing all the ingredients of an egg in a laboratory and put all those together in exactly the way they are in a natural egg would still not be able give life to it.

To create life, one needs to create a living cell. This is impossible with current technology for several reasons. The time such an endeavor would take is monumental. Also, trying to create a cell is very difficult given it's size. A genome would then have to be devised...meaning that a strand of DNA would have to be properly sequenced and inserted into the cell. (A strand of DNA for a human is about a meter long) Many other little bits and pieces are also needed for a cell to function properly and they must exist in the cell all at once, which is impossible for humans to duplicate. The only known way to make a cell is from another cell.
