Do you believe in extraterrestrials or do you think we are the only living beings in this entire universe? Sometimes I think; Why would God create a universe so big and so beautiful with so many planets and so many galaxies for no one or nothing to live there? Maybe it is because we have not expanded our minds and thought of possibilities in life that we don't have the technologies they may have if they are real to travel to our planet from millions of light years away, cause we are always thinking inside the box. We only think of things that are logical and whatever doesn't fit our standards of logic and " right " is not possible. Maybe that is why we don't have the technology to beat cancer, aids... Anyway, do you believe in extraterrestrials?

So if the earth and the moon had their current size, but equal weight (or density not sure how to define), would we weigh the same. As it stands now, you can bounce around on the moon. I am curious as it relates to dinosaurs roaming the earth. Something must have happened (cosmically) to the earth that allowed things to get that large. I dont think they just evolved that way. I often wonder if the earths weight has changed over time (weight of meteors over millions of years) effecting the gravity on the earths surface, phasing out larger creatures. But I dont even know if it's the earths actual size or weight (or maybe even spin) that holds us to the surface. Thanks!!!

I was watching a show on dinosaurs and they were showing a graphical representation of a meteor hitting earth. So I was thinking, if a large meteor was heading towards earth today how much time/notice would we have? How do you think our governments would deal with it? Would it unit countries at war or would they just leave it to the US to deal with?

Gráviton was never detected one at least... however, the cosmic radiation exists as it provokes physical effect invulgares in the superior atmosphere... and is not only responsible for keeping our imprisoned atmosphere to the planet...

If space never ever ends, which I can't get my head around, but if it doesn't end then surely there is millions of planets like Earth out there.

My question is, do you think that its possible that any living beings out there could be more intelligent than us?

I wish we knew the answers to this. It kind of makes you think how amazing it is that we are living and so intelligent. The chances of us ever existing are practically zero.

Blimey, I have had more to drink than I thought. I am rambling.

how many are there in the universe?

I'm not talking science fiction. I realize that our current propulsion capabilities make it impossible to travel there in one lifetime. but does anyone think that we have the capability to create a self sustaining colony vessle that will serve several generations and will travel to the nearest "earth like" planet. Do we have the energy resources, food development, and recycling capabilites?

Ok, I know this is a bit of a far fetched question but I was just curious.

I'm 15 and just got a cool telescope... http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=375869

I looked at the moon last night and I saw it...but it was just a big white orb... I couldn't see craters and I tried zooming in. Also, I looked at a star...I looked and saw the light...but the star wasn't moving when I looked through the telescope. Is that normal?

I just feel inexperienced...I need help??? And...why are there so many different telescopes? Is the one I got a good one?

I've stood and watched B-52s lift off the runway countless times.. It appears to me that the plane takes off in a 'nose down' position.

Is this an optical illusion, or is this for real?

As I read about the planned 2020 return to the moon, no one ever suggests creating our habitat underground. This seems to be a logical option: we'd get shielding from radiation, we'd need less building material, there's less risk of decompression (you can't poke a hole in 50 ft. of lunar rock), and we'd be closer to the core where we can tap into geothermal energy. Fellow geeks: what am I missing? Why isn't this a good option?
