I would answer your question, but I have to get my flying saucer repaired by tomorrow. I have to go to a convention in my home planet. Seriously, I do believe. The possibilities are just too great that there would not be life in other planets. There are trillions and trillions of stars. Whether they have the technology for intergalactic travel, I am not so sure about that. I mostly believe if they exist, they are probably wondering the same thing. Just trapped in their own little planet like us.

I believe that life must be a rule and not an exception in the universe. What happens is that we haven´t had enough time to discover how many worlds are teeming with life.
It would be illogical to think that we are the only living and intelligent beings in the universe, since is so vast that the life phenomenon should be repeated many times in many planets.
But on the other hand, at this moment we have no evidence of other beings existing in the universe, the SETI program has been operating for 30 years and they haven´t collected any intelligent signal,so
Why it is so quiet out there?
Why the solar system is not teeming with life in every planet and we see desolation only? Why haven´t we had a visit from extraterrestrial beings who openly come and introduce themselves?
Sincerely, we don´t know...

Of course we are not alone. The universe is HUGE and beautiful and gorgeous! That would be an awful waste of space, even though humans have a somewhat of a destructive nature. I just hope we and our amazing technology find some proof before I take the old dirt nap. I'm a little doubtful if they are actually visiting us yet, you know like UFOs. And if they are why won't they just land and freaking say 'hi'? We don't bite. Which brings me to what you said about beating cancer and AIDs, I'm hoping they are out there so they can help. We are gonna need a place to crash after this 'global warming' thingamajig. Anywho...Yes, I believe in life outside of earth.

I believe, you have to be very self centered and closed minded to believe we are the only living intelligent beings in this entire universe. Sometimes time I think that we are so far apart for a reason. Like if we where intouch with our galaxy nieghbors we would probably be in a galactic war... So maybe god wanted us to be far apart from other worlds... hmmm :o/ Its not what I believe its just a thought..

I totally believe in extraterrestrials. Check out Coral Castle too, there are many unsolved mysteries, and 80% of our oceans depths have never been really mapped or explored in full, and I do not believe we have solved and cured cancers, just understand a bit more and we have not solved our aging problems so if we cant even fix ourselves where do we get off saying that extraterrestrials do not exist? We do not really know anything.-Rachel.

Life might exist on other planets. But we have no proof. We might be alone, we might not. Unless we pick up some non-random electro-magnetic transmission like radio or X-rays, then we will never be sure.
If it does exist, then it will most likely be single celled organisms or simpler, like life on Earth has been for most of its existence.
The chances of there being an advanced race, and of them finding us, and then coming here over vast distances is close to zero.

As a species we probably may now understand 1% of whats going on around us, so we would see the universe very differently from a supposed race with a thousands/millions of years head start on us.
Who knows maybe we're just someones science project!

i definitely believe that there is life out there. the universe is just far to vast to not have life. there are sextillions of stars, each probably with some planets, thats alot of chances for life.
i dont believe that aliens have ever reached earth or even know that it exists. again, the universe is far to vast for them to contact us.
every day we get closer and closer to finding out how life might have formed. we know that organic molecules can be created under the conditions of early each. and we recently figure out how DNA strands can arrange themselves in specific patterns. the only thing we really dont know is how to get from organic molecules to DNA, but i dont think its too far off.

for the reason that there is not any information helping the belief, i do no longer "have self assurance in" extraterrestrial life. yet i'm thoroughly open to the prospect, could desire to such information ever grow to be accessible.
