Do you think scientists will discover the end of the boundaries of the universe someday? What else could you imagine is out there besides the universe?

Can you prove that? Somebody would have found a theory that may prove that the earth is flat.

Do you say that the reason that people can't just walk off the earth and fall into space is because it's surrounded by a large mountain-chain covered with ice. It would take many guards to protect the whole chain. And who of you would voluntary have the job protecting the mountain chain?

I also heared that the flat earth theory is secret because the US-government earns huge amounts of money on it to financing space projects, etc.

Apollo 11 started at 50,000 feet before it's desent. They almost knew to the exact foot even at 12 feet. They could not have used sound waves. Maybe two angles provided their measurements from the lander?

I am doing a science project on Sundials, where I validate the accuracy of the sundial in calculating solar noon, solar time, and altitude of the sun. What would be a nice, creative title for this project?

My son bought me a telescope for Christmas! Its a Tasco 60mm I can see its going to be a whole new discipline. I has taken me 2 hours to unpack it and set it up and am so looking forward to using it . What I want to know is where do I keep it when not in use. Obviously not outside but the floor area for inside the house is quite big. Do you dismantle it? At the minute I am thinking guest bedroom! I am frightened of it being knocked over. Should I collapse the legs and take the telescope from the stand?

My little brother in law got a telescope (reflector 50x100) and everything looks further. There isn't A LOT of light polution outside. Just a little. I can't see anything! If I do, it's like this tiny tiny dot.

lol you always hear about telescopes and orbiting satellites being sent out to saturn and jupiter and everything so why can't they just sent out a bunch of telescopes into space to look for life?

OK, here's one for all of you who believe in UFO's, Big Foot, the Loch Ness Monster, etc.

Since the year 2000, over 800,000,000 (that's eight-hundred-million!) digital cameras and camera phones have been sold.

As I see it, that means that in virtually every place in the country, at every minute of the day and night, there is someone with a camera...so where are all the photos of UFO's? Back in the 1950's and 1960's, when no one walked around with a camera, there were plenty of "UFO's" captured on film.

And since the UFO's people see at night are always lighted I have to wonder; why would an alien culture so advanced they have been able to develop interstellar spacecraft allow them to be flown by pilots who are so stupid they always forget to turn off their lights when visiting earth. Come to think of it, wouldn't you think aliens that advanced wouldn't need to put lights on their spacecraft since the only purpose of lights is make sure other flying things don't bump into you?
