Apparently they were going to cold fire a nitrous oxide tank that was going to be used in a motor for a Virgin Galactic craft. The tank inexplicably exploded, killing two engineers and putting four others in critical condition. My father who works on the project at Scaled said the blast completely leveled their testing pad. Luckily, he was going to watch up close, but moved back to the bunker before the explosion happened.

And how will this affect spaceflight in the long run? I'm not a big fan of NASA, but I'd be willing to bet this will blown over.

On the other hand, it could discover information of massive importance. Any economists want to take a stab at this one?

ok, vacuum energy thought of to be the direct result of dark energy being present in our universe has been veryfied (as far as i remember) by putting to metal plates at a small distance to each other, measuring the diference of such fluctuations between both plates and the outside, as a force.

What if you were out in space, but you suddenly died. Would your body continue to roam in space for eternity since nothing in space would cause the body to decay? What else would happen? Remember you're way out in space, millions of miles from a planet.
