I've read about the concept of an asteroid or meteor slamming into one planet. The force of the impact causes planetary debris to be launched into outer space...and then that debris falls into another planet as a meteorite. I know that there is the theory of how a piece of Mars came to Earth in a famous meteorite. Is there an offical term for this process?

Does anyone agree that we should colonizing and learning how to survive on mars? I mean this could be a big step for us. And if you dont agree then why? Many scientists have said that if we start now we could be able to make it vegetated in 10,000 years or so thus creating life.

Thoughts? Oppinions?

A teacher at a christian school where I also teach was talking to the class about the first and second days of the creation. She asked the question, "Does anyone know what time the day began?" Students ages eight through eleven thought the day began at 12:00 a.m. I guess I am not smarter than a fifth grader, because I thought so too, but she stated in fact the day begins at sunset because of the verse in Genesis, chapter 1:5, "And the evening and the morning were the first day."

The "Tropic" lines divide the earth into equal parts at, I think, 23 degrees N, S..
Those lines == Tropic of Cancer, T of Capricorn.
They mark the furtherest north/south, where the sun appears to be directly overhead, at noon. --my question is, I am at 40 degrees north. So, how is it that the morning/evening sun is "north" of overhead (Zenith), yet for noon, it is back, south of Zenith?
