I heard that the hubble telescope is able to see the universe just after it was born. I do not see how this is possible because I figure the light from the initial big bang would have passed by earth long ago. Are we seeing a slower form of light, or am I just missing something?

I thought it was 50%. Half the Moon would be lit and it would be "full". A program I have that shows the current stage of the Moon has gone past 50%.

I REALLY do not believe that an explosion just happened and created the universe.. It just sounds.. Off to me.. (Or if im wrong, then i meant the planets)

Can you explain or try to explain in your theory how you think the planets, universe, and everything else was made?

And answer the topic question ;P

If its endless... Well... I just dont understand... Nothing can be endless right? Unless its like a circle going back and fourth...

I have to do this thing for my astronomy class where we are in groups and we drew either a moon or a planet out of a hat. My group got Venus. I'm not asking you to do my homework or anything. I'm just asking your opinion. Do you think human life could be supported on Venus? It is the 2nd closest planet to the sun, and therefore very very hot. Although sometimes it is called Earth's "sister planet"?

aliens do u believe (i do) if u do, what gives u that belief. e.g. the reason i believe is all the stars in the whole universe even if only 20% have planetary systems around them, then we are talking 1000's. and in these planetary systems if only 5% have a planet capable of supporting life then we are talking 100's. i refuse to believe that all of those planets are void of life.
