Astronomy & Space - December 2006

[Selected]: All categories Science & Mathematics Astronomy & Space

My son wants one for Christmas. I have found tons on Ebay in different price ranges, of course-but I have no clue what is junk and what is good. I don't want to spend hundreds on his first one because I am not positive how far he will go with Astronomy. I need to get it ordered in the next couple of days so I can get it on time. Thanks for any ideas.

Human lungs need air. How are they all breathing so much for so long? Do they know how to recycle carbon dioxide? and if so why not use it against what is happening with global warming? I know the space station is said to have about as much room as a house and if i airtight locked myself in this house, besides going crazy because lack of space, how long before it runs out of air?

If you can answer that, that would be great. :)
