First And Foremost, A Black Hole Cannot Swallow A Galaxy. The Galaxy Is Endless And Includes Black holes.
Now, As For The Earth Being Swallowed..That Can Happen. Will We Feel It? I Would Think So. We Would Suffer. It Would Not Happen Instantly, It Would Happen Gradually, Causing Many Disasters On Earth.
Interesting Question...Wonder Where You Came Up With The Idea To Ask? Hmmmmm....Just Wondering.

A black hole will never suck up our Galaxy because it is too big. You might have millions of black holes in our galaxy that can not be readily identified, mainly because they are invisible, they give off no light because they suck it in and it cannot be reflected because of the gravitational pull of the black hole. Black holes are identified in areas where there is no light reflection, indicating their presence-they cannot be seen. The earth and solar system on the other hand could fall into a black hole, even though none has been detected in our vicinity. If one were to get hold of us its would take some time before we get sucked in. First, the whole solar system would go out of whack-the outer planets would stop rotating around the sun and would start to pull away from the sun toward the black hole. This would result in a very irregular orbit, coming very close to the sun and than going out much further in their orbits until they get sucked in one by one, the outer ones first. The weather on earth would get so hot and so cold as a result that we would not be around at the time we get sucked in. This could take many years before we all die. But don't worry a bit because God tells us in the Bible that the earth will endure for ever, it will never be destroyed because God has a purpose for it, to be inhabited by perfect humans for ever-Psalms 37;29, Ecclesiastes 1:4.....KECK

Galaxies contain black holes. Even supermassive black holes
are not big enough to gobble up a galaxy. Black holes are formed in the wake of dead stars...
With that said, if there were a super-supermassive black hole recycling an edge of our galaxy we would see it coming by virtue of "the lights going out". The edge that was being "eaten" by this hypothetical super-supermassive black hole would start to look like a space shot of the eastern seaboard when the powergrid went down!
Would it happen in the blink of an eye? The black hole would start to wreak havoc long before our earth actually was gobbled up by it. We would see it coming, we would be affected by it, then we would be eaten by it. We all probably would be toast before the black hole actually ate us.
Your question also depends on what you mean by "existence".
Some say we never cease to exist, in some form or another.
Others say there will be a time where we cease to exist.

If Earth was close enough to be on a fatal trajectory into a black hole, long before it even reaches the event horizon (the traditional boundary of black holes), Earth would be ripped apart by gravitational tidal forces, and it wouldn't be so quick. It'd be just like Revelation in the bible. People would be long dead from lack of oxygen and other serious issues before they could even have the delicious experience of extreme distortion of their bodies as they continue into a black hole. Now, the curious thing is, to an observer outside the black hole, it would seem to take forever for people to fall towards the singularity, appearing to be frozen in time. But meanwhile, to anyone still conscious in a black hole, time is not frozen but would seem to be like an eternity before reaching the singularity! Death would not be so instantaneous, even if one survived past the event horizon.

It's not like one instant theres no black hole and the next second there is. Matter takes a long time to collect and the mass increases slowly. Yes, it happens in one instant that it turn from looking like a star to a block hole, as the gravitational pull exceeds the amount needed keep light from escaping, but the gravity will be increasing slowly, and this if earth were eatin, it would happen over some time as the black hole/star 's gravity increased. And also I don't think this could happen, because dust would not collect so close to our solar system, it would more likely be attracted to our solar system than to each other.

We would feel the gravitational pull from the black hole before we reach the event horizon (edge of the black hole). We soon as we enter, immediately, we hit the point of no return. It is said that it would happen so fast and in a way that we would not realize that we have hit the event horizon. When we are inside we immediately hit the end of time, assuming time is not infinitely long.

confident, as others have stated - there's a supermassive black hollow on the centre of our Milky way galaxy. Our galaxy is tremendously super - there are over a hundred billion suns in it and the centre is an prolonged way away - over 20000 mild years away. each mild 12 months is six thousand trillion miles, so i'm to no longer get too demanding approximately getting swallowed up by using it. There are different black holes contained in the galaxy - they're the end results of collapsed stars and are tremendously undemanding, incredibly. although, the maximum up-to-date (medical) cosmic concept (Brane) reckons there are additionally small black holes even in our photograph voltaic gadget! this would clarify what happens to my socks.

If Earth fell into a giant black hole, we would die pretty fast, but I don't know exactly how fast. Fast enough so we wouldn't suffer I suspect, but I don't know for sure.
But it disturbs me that you said, "and our galaxy". A galaxy is far too large to get eaten by even the biggest black hole. In fact, the center of our galaxy contains a super massive black hole, and it is not eating our galaxy from the inside! Perhaps you do not fully understand how big a galaxy is!

Depends on what you mean by "eaten". If we were to suddenly appear in the center of a black hole, then you would be crushed into the sigularity almost instantly, so there would be no feeling at all. Other than that, it depends on how far you are away.

well you would die as soon as the earth got close enough to disrupt our orbit with the sun. but i think theres some wierd things that happen since you are going to end up moving faster than the speed of light. you are going to be torn apart before you actually reach the event horizon of the black hole. it just wouldnt be fun
