I tracked when the International Space Station would be flying overhead, and when I finally saw it with the naked eye, I could very faintly make out a shape, and it looked like the shape it really is.

Am I just imagining things, or can you really see the shape of the ISS some 200 miles up there, with just your eyes?

We are going back to the moon in 2020 and hoping to have an inhabitable space station by 2024. In 2028 an asteroid is supposed to come very close to the earth. If it changes course it could collide with it. Is this an attempt to prevent the extinction of humanity? It's odd that we have such an interest in the moon after 40 years. It would only take a dozen or two dozen humans on the moon to keep humankind alive.

I mean it will be infinate touse as we cannot measure it and we could never reach an edge if it is expading at the speed of light. but to and observer from outside the universe (in whatever the universe is expanding into) wouldn't the unverse be a finate size?

Like, I figure once it's known how to do it the cheapest, fastest and safest humanly possible it should actually happen and then humanity will have somewhere new to settle and expand into seeing as how earth is pretty full and only getting fuller. I also assume that once built working on increasing food production, possible population density and improving the settled areas in terms of form and function would be an ever ongoing process. Anyone else think this is a good idea and it should actually happen?

I'm for it, I think in reflects the American spirit, pride and would have many benefits. Think if we spent all the Iraq war money on that instead...Some may argue we could spend the money on the poor, but there are always going to be poor, and their usually poor because they have kids when their unemployed or under employed...

If you believe all that stuff is some elaborate hoax, then the pictures of the round earth from space would have to be faked, and thus there is no proof the earth is round, and thus you would logically believe the earth was flat and if you sailed long enough you would fall off the edge, right?
