I tracked when the International Space Station would be flying overhead, and when I finally saw it with the naked eye, I could very faintly make out a shape, and it looked like the shape it really is.

Am I just imagining things, or can you really see the shape of the ISS some 200 miles up there, with just your eyes?

Most likely it was your imagination. I've looked at the ISS several times and it always just looks like a slowly moving dot to me.
