Not matter how hard I try, I cannot grasp my mind around the concept of having one singular smaller then an atom create the entire universe.

And how'd it get there, anyway?

And how'd it manage to create gravity, and protons, and neutrons... and all that.

And what was outside of the singular?

Anyone else find this difficult to understand? My science teacher makes it sound like second grade knowledge.

that is really strong and bring the telescope with you, as your looking back on Earth the way it was ages ago, can you see the people on it thousands of years ago and the other events happening?

Would you see Jesus and wars that were happening back then?

Is it possible?

What exactly would Antimatter be? Do you really think it's in some ultimate, distant realm of the universe? Or does it not even exist? Just curious on your opinions of antimatter..

I am having trouble with this problem. Estimate how long the Sun would last if it was just a huge fire that was releasing chemical energy. Assume that the sun begins with roughly 10^8 joules per kilogram, a chemical energy content typical of atomic matter. Show some work if possible...THANKS!

The sun's output of visible light stays pretty steady, it stays within 1% of its current value for the past 100 years or so. However, the sun's maximum X-ray output can be as much as 10 times greater than its minimum output. WHY CAN THE CHANGES IN X-RAY OUTPUT BE SO MUCH MORE PRONOUNCED THAN THOSE IN THE OUTPUT OF VISIBLE LIGHT?

I calculate that the spacecraft would have to stay at least 1.3 million miles of the sun's surface because of the extreme heat. Just how hot is the sun? Besides, why study the sun up close?

It did today, starting about 11:12 AM, and it'll be finishing in just a few minutes.
I've had my telescopes and cameras on it all day, until it went behind a tree (I'll miss the end) :(
