Water is a necessity for life and that is based on temperature more so than which planet you are from the sun, it could be the tenth planet from the sun as long as the temperature is similar to ours here.
But with so many galaxies and suns in the universe I'm sure somewhere there is another world much like our own.
Heres something you might like it shows everything that we are able to see in the universe and zooms down to our solar system.

Ok, lets do some math first>>>there are about 300 billion stars in our Milky Way galaxy and there are thought to be over 300 billion galaxies in the Universe. That means that there are about 90 trillion (90,000,000,000,000) stars in the Universe. We now assume that most stars have planets orbiting around them. With such a huge number of stars it is pretty much 100% positive that there are many many millions of stars that have planets with life on them. Basic life is not hard to achieve in our Universe, however, intelligent life may not be so abundant. But even if a very small percentage of the planets that harbor life in our Universe have intelligent life, then there would be perhaps many thousands of planets out there with intelligent living species. These species would have evolved under much different conditions than we have done on Earth and would look extremely weird to us here on Earth. It is also thought possible for these species to live in a completely different atmosphere than Earth's. Perhaps they breathe an atmosphere of methane or ammonia. It would be cool to discover this.

of course there is other living orgasnisms, earth cant be the only life-sustaining planet out there. besides, just cause this is the only planet we can live on, doesnt mean the other creatures out there need oxygen. kinda like war of the worlds, ya know? but truthfully the other organisms would probly be like us in many ways and they wouldnt be homicidal, just curious and try to communicate with us in better ways. they say the universe never ends so there's probly another earthlike planet out there somewhere. that's why i have problems with religion, theres so much detail it leaves out about all the other life forms and a lot of stuff. so i believe anything is possible....i mean, why not.

Reading all the responses it is obvious that the consensus is yes. These views come from science, philosophy, mathematics, presumed "common sense", and faith.
Personally, I believe that the existence of the universe is not the result of an accident. I say that God is the Creator. Consider how God organizes his work. The universe is governed by eternal laws and power.
What has been done here has been done countless times.
I suggest there are countless "earths" much like ours. Hence I agree with you.

I personally believe in an infinite universe. I know some physicists don't agree, but until they can prove it, that's what I'm going with. And in an infinite universe, infinite possibilities exist. So yes, there is life on other planets in my opinion. If the universe goes on forever and ever, then there are bound to be other planets amenable to life (as we know it).

It depends on your definition of life - - some people would argue against the existence of life on earth (or at least intelligent life).
One line of thought derived from quantum physics is that, in fact, human experience (what we call reality) may not really exist at all.
The question can be more definitely if it is framed as "will there be life on earth in 10,000 years?" which is very unlikely and the probability increases exponentially as one move away from the present toward the future.
Some people believe that it is unlikely that we will survive to 2100 considering the stupidity of our politicians. Many people believe that politicians are merely unemployed idiots who couldn't hold a real job if their life depended on it!

You took the words out of my mouth
Cuz, hey... who really knows how big the universe is? Maybe it isn't big at all, maybe our eyes just portray it as big... But then again, it really might NOT have an end. If that's the case, how come we're the only ones allowed to walk around and talk and live and go the the bathroom and eat and sleep?
Really makes us think about how previlaged we are... eh?

yes i believe their are living creatures on the other planets...sometimes i think maybe the ones they think there is no way possible like the sun....i mean of course we cannot travel to the sun...but there could be something even there that no one knows of that is adjusted to that heat i mean you never know...i really believe that their is aliens...why else for all these planets

Given the certainty that there are 3 hundred billion stars in our galaxy and 3 hundred billion galaxies interior the Universe, that supplies us 40 trillion entire stars in our Universe.. on condition that 80% of all stars are resembling our sunlight and that there is a severe threat that maximum stars even have planets orbiting them, then i might surmise that the probability of their being different residing creatures residing exterior of our photograph voltaic gadget to be particularly possibly. there are possibly billions of planets in our Universe that help existence.

simple logic says there must be other living things out there.
God knows how many galaxies there are out there, and in each of those there's god knows how many planets which could support life, and on those there's god knows how many that do have life and (last but not least) how many of those have intelligent life.
That's just PART of the Drake equation. Google that and you'll get the full equation. There could be lots of life out there
