Hm, well from my viewpoint at sunset by the highway, I not only saw a Mercury pass in front of the sun, I also saw a Ford, Chevy, and a Dodge as well!

My husband, the astronomy/science enthusiast, set up binoculars to focus the sun on a white panel, and we watched the dot go across. It was a pretty great way to show it to our daughter.

Yes, I did. My Chemistry teacher showed me this morning {He teaches Physics as well}. (I'm in Australia, so to me it was about 8:30am)
