A NASA scientist has decided to reveal what he knows, has seen, and experimented with recently. He is not alone... the Soviets took photos of the planet in the early 70's, but because of the cold war, didnt wanna share them with anyone.
I have an open mind in this sort of thing.
If you want call me crazy, I think its just a matter of going to mars and then we'll find ruins.
heres a link to one of the things i saw.

I wish to give a telescope as a gift. I would like to keep it under or up to $4,000. The main thing I want it to have is the ability to move with the earth so that you dont have to keep reajusting when viewing a distant planet (just knowing the name of this feature would help a lot too). Another nice feature would be able to auto locate certain plants or stars. I dont know much about telescopes, but the reciever of the gift has some expierence. But the more detailed you are the better. Thank you

I understand that to determine longitude, you need to compare local noon of the sun to a chronometer set to Greenwich noon. But how do you know when the local sun is at its highest point of the day?
