Pluto's orbitr around the Sun is eccentric and averages 3.7 billion miles (5.9 billion Km.). One orbit takes 247.9 Earth years. Composition of Pluto is Rock, frozen water and methane gas. Pluto's atmosphere is thought to be entirely nitrogen, and that gas is slipping away due to Pluto's weak gravity.

Pluto has one confirmed Moon which is named Charon. This moon, Charon, interestingly is about the same size as the planet Pluto itself. Charon orbits Pluto every 6.4 Earth Days at a distance roughly the same as the diameter of the Earth. The same side of Pluto always faces the same side of Charon.

The surface temperature of Pluto is Minus 364 degrees F (minus 230 degrees C).

Rotation of Pluto = 6.4 Earth Days.
