Travelling back in time is not allowed by einstein's theory of relativity...however if you can instantly teleport youself to some faraway star, say a 101 light years away, you might be able to catch einstein receiving his nobel prize!! as stated earlier, there is no master grandfather clock that is regularly ticking away the seconds..rather that rate is adjustable...but one may zip into the future..consider an example where you are on a space-ship at a speed of 0.99990 c that is going away from the earth and coming back..in your time frame say,it takes about twenty years..using lorentz transformations, the time for your to and fro motion is close to 450 years!!

I don't think you can travel but I do think you can see it (the past).
Fact: The sun's heat and rays left the sun 6 minutes ago.
Keep in mind that colors and anything you can see can only be seen by light. If you were able to travel to ....say Neptune faster than the speed of light, you'll be able to view the earth at an earlier time with the right size telescope. I chose Neptune because it is so far away that if it takes the sun's rays of light 6 minutes to reach us, imagine how long it takes for the reflecting light of Earth to reach Neptune - I would guess 30-50 years. This is Only possible if you travel faster than light because you have to get there to view the past before the viewable light of the present time arrives to Neptune. So when you pull out your massive telescope from Neptune, the viewable light that has reached you at that point in time is from the past. TADA, you just saw Jimmy Carter get elected for president live from Neptune.

Going back in time is not possible. I dont think. I know you can slow time down by going the speed of light.. Also going into the future is possible for we are doing it as we speak. This of course is only applicable if time exist.
It is important to note that time doesn't actually exist. It is a man made idea to help sequence events. Time as a force or entity is non existent. So can we manipulate it, the answer is no, can we move along it backwards or forwards, the answer is also no, because it doesnt exist.

For right now, the closest we can get to traveling to the past is in old reruns of Startrek.
Otherwise, current technology just isn't that advanced.
That isn't to say that visitors from the future may have the technology to do it, but haven't made themselves known publicly.
If there was a way to go backward in time, there is that age-old question of the paradox theory that would certainly have to be considered.
Which might explain why there hasn't been contact.

No, you can't travel back in time, nor forward in time. Time is not a NATURAL feature of the universe. It's nothing more than a concept "invented" by humans to separate events into past, present and future. There's no physical past following along behind the present, nor any physical future waiting up ahead for our arrival. There's no Cosmic Master Clock ticking off the correct time and separating it into past, present and future. Einstein showed that even our human concept of time is strictly relative, that is it's not an absolute thing.

Time commute is similiar to teleportation. In concept: A parrallel univserse is created while somebody travels lower back in time, and alterations something. for this reason not something crashes, and there are 2 planes of existance quite of one. If the physique travels with them, their physique dissapears from the old certainty into the hot one. for this reason coming up 2 bodies of a similar individual, who will desperately attempt to restoration something that passed off. An inevitable "hero ingredient". The irony being that for the duration of their old certainty, in spite of passed off passed off. in spite of if the international exchange into destroyed, a chum died, in spite of. while somebody travels forward in time, each thing keeps by utilising a default development, and that they at the instant can not have interplay and alter issues. In Legend of those working with the DJINN or Asura, who administration time, a rule is in place that once a individual strikes lower back in time, their character there is to go forward so as that there is one physique quite of two, to provide up contradictions and issues from occurring. yet another interesting concept is deja' vu being, at times, a sort of time commute, yet not with the aid of physique. the concept states that your possibilities can exchange, given which you have experienced the destiny. This creates a rift in Karma (inertia - action and reaction) and contradictions. I definitely have indexed some interesting analyzing fabric in my factors that's recommended to look into. The books in specific, clarify many blunders in Quantum Physics, and corrects them. curiously, I definitely have created a time commute gadget... You lay down on it, and close your eyes and wait. If all is going desirable, and there is adequate melatonin on your thoughts, once you open your eyes, you're sooner or later by utilising approximately 6 to eight hours! I call it the mattress. ok, provide that a minute to sink in, and you will snort. XD

Yes. IT is possible. But only for seconds or millisecond not years.
You can spin really fast on a massive object. That can trigger time.

There is something called a wormhole. They are shortcuts through space and time. Time is like a piece of paper. When you fold it, the 2 ends are closer. that's a wormhole.

Perhaps, if some of Einstein's theories are correct. Many have proved wrong, but many seem to be proving out. Gut feeling is, no.
In quantam theory it should be, but it might not be quite the same then as it was then.
