what would happen if the would start rotating at high speed. is it possible that objects would be thrown out from earth. but in the equation of gravity i.e. g=mass of the two objects/ square of the distance between them, then where does the centrifugal or centripetel force os in picture over here. if centrifugal force had to act then why does not the gravity acts at the north/south pole higher than at the equator , regarding to the fact that earth rotates at a tangential speed of 20,000 kmph at equator.

I heard a theory that the totality of our universe was something on the order of 100,000,000,000,000,000 times larger than what we can actually see. Is it possible? It seems like an incredible number.

I want to see the aurora borealis this year:) Should I go to Alaska in January OR as the paste below claims, is it better to see it in September to October? Is there a better spot than Alaska to see it (perhaps in Europe)?

Also is the "aurora australis" as impressive as the aurora borealis?

"The aurora borealis most often occurs from September to October and March to April. Its southern counterpart, "aurora australis", has similar properties."

There are sites that constantly watch the skies, and there are things out in Space that we are still learning about.
I wonder if anyone has had a personal experience or knows of someone who has....
What was Si-Fi in 1900 and later...is now real...so when I look at a modern Sci Fi movie, I wonder if my grand children will be travelling further than I can..
