what is it called when someone is strapped down and forced to watch a video (like in clockwork orange)? a good example is in the latest episode of "Lost". Is there an actaul term for that?

Looking at it from a psychological point of view, are ghosts real or not? I myself believe in ghosts, but I'm very sceptical when I hear people talk about ghost sightings. They see ghosts everywhere, but to me it sounds like they're all letting their imagination run free.
Most ghosts are sighted in old buildings. Why there? Logically speaking ghosts would more likely haunt new buildings, where the building of the foundations of those buildings have disturbed them? Or rather because the new building took away their old dwelling?
I speak from personal experience, having lived in a 3 year old housing estate where someone or something plagued my being there, down to a talking lift that started to say strange things, and my now ex-boyfriend heard and experienced the same things.

But those things happen only scarsely. So again, my question is; ghosts, are they real or not? And if they're not, explain why they can't be. If they are, explain why so.

This isn't in pregancy because I'm interested in the supernaturalyness of it. For the past couple of months, I've had two adults, one who I know well, and who has spoke of being slightly extra intuitive (won't say psychic) and one who sees me on a day to day basis swear up and down that I am pregnant. I also had a four year old tell me that I was. Not only that, but animals seem to be drawn to me.
I haven't had any positive proof of it though, just normal preg symptoms, and my waist getting bigger even though I'm trying to loose weight. No pos test, no missed period. Movement that I'm not sure if it's gas or not.
Should I be concerened, going getting blood tests and ultrasounds, acting as if I'm pregnant. Are they detecting something the tests and my natural cycle isnt. (I'm aware that if I were pregnant, it would be bleeding, not a period)
I know my medical facts. Just wondering if anyone knew about the paranormal phenomenon?

At age 8.I believe I had a paranormal experience. I was awoke one night by strange sounds. I saw hovering over my sister bed several figures dressed in farmers outfits some with pitch forks. I immediately ran into my parents bedroom and tried to go go back asleep. I then looked up and saw the figures passing by my parents room. Strangly enough I wasn't really frighten. Later in years around 12 to 13 years old I would awake cold and frighten and feeling something was holding me down almost like I was paralyzed. It would last maybe 30 seconds. It happened again when I was maybe 35 years old. I stayed at my sisters house for the weekend. And again late at night I awoke cold and paralyzed for maybe 20 seconds . I sensed something moving toward the window. The curtains seems to move even though it the window was closed. That was the last experience I had. It's been now over 15 years. Could anyone answer...what the heck happpened. Oh by the way I wasn't dreaming.

ok, i am 17 years old and i see auras for about 6 months. It is natural to me, i don't try, it just happens. BUT, it doesn't happening to me all the time.What or how can i make myself to see auras better and easier and control it. I have heard that some people actually ''study'' how to see auras when in the beggining they can't see them at all. How is that possible? Physical phenomena in the Universe is being explained by what we call as 'Modren Science'. But it turns a deaf ear to questions such as what is the pupose of being born? i have been thinkin, with moderate research. regarding that all matter seems to omit or influence electromagnetic fields especially living organisms, is it possible that the human body acts as a large inductor, as the endless nerve windings of the central nervous system using chemical reactions and polarity to function by electronic pulses emits an electromagnetic field surrounding our bodies much like an inductor. we know that when two inductors are placed within each other's EMF they influence and act upon each other. could this be what happens between people? what mystics and psychics call our aura is actually our own EMF? if this could be true, then could some people unconscously harness the subtle power of our own EMFs? could this be why some people seem to feed off of other people's emotions? its out there i know, but sometimes i just have to wonder about stuff like this...

Even she is not listening her parents.She reads always forcebly not with pleasure.Even she can't laugh happily. I have. Sometimes they're lucid dreams in which I know i'm dreaming. Other times I don't even know i'm still sleeping and i have an out of body experience or i astral project somewhere.

Sometimes i have dreams of levitating but in them i prevent myself from continuing to the point where i'm flying because I don't know it's a dream and i get scared.
