When making a motor/transformer, does it matter if you cross the wires while winding the magnet wire? For example, can you wind the wire up and then wind it back down or would this cancel out the magnetism?

Using probability generating functions, find

P(X+Y=n) if X and Y are independent poisson distibutions with parameters a and b respectively.

Hence find P(X=k | X + Y = n) and E(X=k | X + Y = n)

Is anyone working on solving loss of tail rotor function from RPG's as seen in the movie "Black Hawk Down"? I've wondered this for many years, whether or not it's possible to design a system whereby tail rotor loss of function could be minimized by some kind of emergency jet propulsion in the tail section to produce the necessary thrust for safe control of the helicopter or by directing engine exhaust in a sidewards manner much like an engine reverse thruster to minimize or eliminate torque thrust. I'm also wondering why the military does not employ the NOTAR system in combat zone helicopters to mitigate being brought down by RPG's. Any helicopter engineers or pilots wish to comment?

Well, I've researched my textbooks and wikipedia.
I think I may know the general idea of what it is, but I want to be sure.
This is what I think....

-So I read that Acceleration is the rate of change, and a Newton is the force required to accelerate 1 kg of a substance by 1 meter per second squared (1 kg * m / s2).
So if I have my meaning of Acceleration correct, then if something had an acceleration of 5 Newtons, then for every second passed, 1 kg of that substance would speed up 5 meters per second more? So if it starts out at 10 m/s, then in 3 seconds it would be going at a speed of 25 m/s? Is that right?

And I know that a Joule is "the energy expended by a force of one newton moving an object one meter along the direction of the force." but can someone explain that to me more?
So...if a block of concrete that weighed 1 kg was sliding down a hill with a force of one newton (meaning it sped up 1 meter more per second?) then for every meter it slid, that would be 1 Joule?
