I don't just mean the earth itself but all the things on it also. For example there is now millions of cars and houses but they all came from raw materials from the earth. I guess some of the oceans have evapourated a bit but does that water come back to earth???

I am studing for my A-Levels in Chemistry, Biology and French at the moment. I am thinking about studing for a degree (MSc) in Chemistry with French at the University of Birmingham.

I was wondering what kind of jobs would be open to me with this qualification? especially in France?

or would Biochemistry with French be better?

Thanks

I burst into tears after watching the horrible hidden cameras of humans who rip the skin off off animals and watch them literally cry with pain, how they lay fuzzy little animals down and stomp on their heads, or cut the noses and tails off of little pigs for entertainment or even take the ends of rifles and ram them through the gates of lions and tigers to bash their teeth while laughing hysterically....What the f**k is wrong with these people? I don't give a s**t if im a PETA fan or not but this unnecessary horrible cruelty has to stop.....how...please....how???

The astronauts of the Apollo 13 mission to the moon were almost lost in space due to the explosion of a valve on their primary oxygen generator. The lives of the astronauts were threatened by increasing concentrations ofc co2 in the space craft. Gaseous co2 can be absorbed from the air in a spacecraft with open canisters that contain solid lithium according to the following eqn
2 LIOH +CO2------>LI2 CO3 + H2O
If a canister absorbed 100.0grams of CO2 from the air that resulted in the production of 148.5grams of LI2 CO3, what was the percent yield for LI2 CO

If 74.30 g of HCL were produced from 2.13 g oh H2 and an excess of Cl2 according to the reaction:

H2 + Cl2 ------> 2HCl

What was the percent yield of HCl?

I got an answer that is slightly off what the answer key says. If the problem says "excess of Cl2", doesn't that mean H2 is the limiting reactant?

I am making a hand cannon for my physics project. Today I got some steel pipe and wood but the problem is obtaining the chemicals. When I nonchalantly asked the pharmaceuticals clerk if they sold potassium nitrate (KNO3) I was promply asked to leave. So where can I get sulfur, potassium nitrate? Also, will activated carbon for an aquarium filter work in place of charcoal? Is it illegal to make gunpowder in Canada?
