I am not sure how to do this, if someone could help me with the steps it would mean a lot. Thanks

since this cannot be factored...use the quadratic formula to solve it (cannot be factored b/c hint= "radical form")

so the formula is

(use photo b/c of the symbols you need)

then just plug in..in your problem:

a=4
b=2
c=-3

roots of eq. aX^2 + bX + c = 0 are

(-b +- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac) )/ 2a

a = 4
b = 2
c = -3

Substitute and have fun...
