I have searched various web sites, which all list "the brightest" stars but theta Geminorum (SAO 59570) is not listed as one of them. But to the naked eye, it is clearly the brightest star in the night sky.

It is located in the North Eeasternly night sky.

A body stands on a ramp of height h. After getting a small push, the body slides down. The friction is absent. Potential energy of the body mgh is transformed into kinetic energy of mv^2/2. Consider the same process in the inertial coordinate frame, moving with velocity v=√ 2gh. Initial energy of the body is mgh + mv^2/2, and its final energy is zero.

What happenes with the energy conservation law?
