Amazing! Lots of wrong answers on a very simple question, and the one that was right was given a thumbs-down!

The Sun doesn't "come up." The Earth rotates on its axis, so that the Sun (along with the planets and stars) _appears_ to rise and set. It has nothing to do with the Earth revolving around the Sun; it's the Earth's rotation on its own axis that makes the Sun appear to rise.

Apollo the sun god pulls the sun across the sky riding his Chariot pulled by his three stallions. It's kinda like a public service courtesy of Mount Olympus. This is only his day job. He chases and tries to rape water nymphs at night, is considered quite handsome, and as a rule is pretty much a party animal.

It has to start from where, and if you can see it it is already on the way up, so the only other directions that it could take are down or sideways.

If it was stationary, the weather where you live would never change.

Its the way the earth spins around the sun.

Because Earth rotates (..spins..) on its axis. The sun isn't really moving; it just looks like it is because Earth is spinning.
