Starting with an initial speed of 5.00 m/s at a height of h = 0.330 m, the m1 = 1.45 kg ball swings downward and strikes the m2 = 4.40 kg ball that is at rest, as the drawing shows.

(a) Using the principle of conservation of mechanical energy, find the speed of the 1.45-kg ball just before impact.
i know this = 5.61 m/s
(b) Assuming that the collision is elastic, find the velocities (magnitude and direction) of both balls just after the collision.
(1.45-kg ball)= i know this is -2.829 m/s
*(4.40-kg ball)=?
(c) How high does each ball swing after the collision, ignoring air resistance?
*(1.45-kg ball)=?
* (4.40-kg ball) =?
i can't figure out the starred ones

Use linear approximation, i.e. the tangent line, to approximate
16.2^(1/2) as follow:

Let f(x)=x^(1/2). The equation of the tangent line to f(x) at x=16 can be written in the form of y=mx+b where m is:______. and where b is:______.

Using this, we find our approximation for 16.2^(1/2) is ______.

R = 200 Ω, C = 2.0 μF. Initially the capacitor is charged up to 100 Volts. Then the switch is closed, and the capacitor is discharged. Select True or False for the following statements.

The time constant τ of the circuit is 4.00E-4 s.? true or false
If the resistance R is doubled, then the capacitor will be discharged twice as slow. true or false?
After one time constant the voltage across the resistor is 36.8 V. true or false

A company begins an advertising campaign in a certain city to market a new product. The percentage of the target market that buys the product is a function of the length of the advertising campaign. The company estimates this percentage as 1-e^-0.05t where t=number of days of the campaign. The target market is estimated to be 1,000,000 people and the price per unit is $0.40. The cost of advertasing is $1000 per day.
Find the length of the advertising campaign that will result in the maximum profit.

P.S. Please list all the steps taken to answer the problem. Im interested in learning also, not just getting the answer.
