Can someone please help me figure out if my answer is correct.

Question:
What is the echo time if I snare a drum in the hall outside the room which is 80 meters long. The average echo time was 10 milliseconds. Use Echo Ranging formula to prove or disprove my findings, remember this echo was heard in air.

My answer:
I wrote formula d= r x t
d= 160m ( because 80x 2) the sound must travel back
t= 10 ms = 0.01 seconds
c = 16000m/s ( answer)

Under ideal conditions, this appears to be wrong. As the speed of sound in air travels 344m/s in dry air (temperature of 20 °C (68 °F)). So either the time or the distance measurements are incorrect.

Sum of infinite series: convergent or divergent?
sum from x=2 to ∞ of 1/(x ln x)

How do I show whether this is convergent or divergent?

I do not need to find the sum if it is convergent. I just need to know how to show convergence or divergence.

Thinking about why tornados form and how/why certain kinds of volcanos form, the processes for -certain- kinds of each can be similar. Tornados form the funnel when a storm cell starts spinning and one end of it sinks as the cool air from above mixes with it and "erupts" from the bottom of the tornado into the world below, the air spinning around as it does. Some kinds of volcanos form when a magma cell starts spinning and hotter magma from deeper within the earth pushes its way upwards, "erupting" through the resulting upside-down funnel.

It's not true of all volcanoes nor of all tornados, but _some_ seems to be similar phenomenon in different media. Is there any validity to this notion?

Three sailors were marooned on a deserted island that was also inhabited by a band of monkeys. The sailors worked all day to collect coconuts but were too tired that night to count them, They agreed to divide them equally the next morning.
During the night, one sailor woke up and decided to get his share. He found that he could make three equal piles, with one coconut left over, which he threw to the monkeys. Thereupon, he had his own share and left the remainder in a single pile.

Later that night, the second sailor awoke and, likewise, decided to get his share of coconuts. He also was able to make three equal piles, with one coconut left over, which he threw to the monkeys.

Somewhat later, the third sailor awoke and did exactly the same thing with the remaining coconuts.

In the morning, all three sailors noticed that the pile was considerably smaller, but each thought that he knew why and said nothing. When they then divided the remaining coconuts equally, each sailor received seven and one was left over, which they threw to the monkeys.

How many coconuts were in the original pile?
