Always remember the saying.
Please (parentheses)
Excuse (exponents)
My (multiplication)
Dear (divide)
Aunt (add)
Sally (subtract)
-this is the order to remember.
so you have 10t+4(1-3t)
first is parenthesis
4(1-3t)
which is 4-12t
so now you have 10t +4-12t
so you have -12t+10 which is -2t and a positive 4
so your answer is -2t=4
(you can't combine any further because the 4 doesn't have a t)
Hope this helps =]
