It just doesn't make sense to me...it would make more sense if the universe had always existed but I do keep in mind that the most intelligent scientific minds create these theories and have science to reinforce their views...but still...

The boiling point of CH4 is lower than the boiling point of SiH4, whereas the boiling point of NH3 is higher than the boiling point of PH3.

All i have to work with is the periodic table, so is it even possible to explain this in terms of universal chemical properties

A sample of gas at 38.0 degrees C occupies a volume of 2.97 L and exerts a pressure of 3.14 atm. The gas is heated to 118.0 degrees C and the volume is decreased to 1.04 L. Determine the new pressure exerted by the gas. (convert temperature to K before substituting in equation)

Asked a question about mixed race and skin colour inheritance and someone gave a really good answer but said that after fertilization we don't know where all the genes are going to. Am I stupid or what but I thought that this is what the Human genome project had answered. I thought we knew what all 46 genes did. Am I getting mixed up between chromosomes and genes?

The situation:

A person has a subscription which allows them 3 licenses for 12 months @ $6500/12mo

After 3 months, they upgrade to a 5 licenses per 12-month plan @ $9000/12mo.

* They pay only the difference between the plans ($2500) to make a total of $9000 *

(the only 2 variables that change are the total/ price and the number of licenses)

How long does their plan now last?

Please SUPPLY THE EQUATION and NOT JUST THE ANSWER!

Bonus: Supply a formula to calculate what they'd pay to upgrade so their plan lasts EXACTLY 12 months.

with a voltage follower, if the input draws a very small current and the output can provide a much larger current, where does the extra current come from? All my book says is that this is due to a very high input impedence and a very low output impedence. Can anybody explain this in more detail?

A mixed race couple have say 10 children, I'm guessing none of them will have blond hair and blue eyes and none ot them will have white, northern european type skin colour. Thinking of Mendel's original genetic experiments with red and white flowers, would that apply to human beings, that is offspring from a mixed race couple will always be some white and some black but in the same ration. When thinking of white people I mean someone with no other genetic mix in their ancestry if that is possible.
