i went on vacations to Mexico and my grandma's house is really really old..they were doing some maintenance in the backyard and they were digging. My aunt was digging too and she found a bar..it looked all dirty but when we cleaned it it was shiny and silver like. It is super heavy..its like the heaviest thing ever and its not even that big. It has some letters (k 100) and star on it. and when i touch it it stains my fingers black....i dont know what it is....what could it possibly be????

I have read several different articles about fizeau's experiment and I understand most of the concept but I would like to know how he acually did it. In explaining please answer these questions:
-what type of light source did he use?
-was the light source pulsating or was it continuous?
-If the cog is spinning so fast and had hundreds of teeth, how can he determine if light passes through the same spacing?

I don't live in areas prone to strong winds but am surprised to hear amazing things that can happen, like a full-grown cow that is lifted into the air and lands in somebody else's garden or vehicles that are rolled some distance away.

Can you share some survival tips on encountering one?
