does anyone know the answer to this
A 150.0.0-g sample of a metal at 75.0°C is added to 150.0
H20 at 15.0°C. The temperature of the water rises to 18.3°C.
Calculate the specific heat capacity of the metal, assuming
all the heat lost by the metal and gained by the H20?

In my biplogy class, we just finished learning about evolution and Darwin's theory.

I myself, believe in evolution. I believe that it took millions to billions of years for humans to evolve into he way we are now.

I respect Darwin and in my class(I'm in the 10th grade) we did sort of a trial where people were either on the for evolution side or the against evolution side. we picked a scientist or person who supported evolution or who didn't. I was Charles Darwin himself.

I wanted to know what people though about Darwin and his theory. what side are you on?

So I am taking a class that writes tons of proofs this semester, and I am really strugling. I can never figure out how to approach a problem. The methods we have learned are proof by contradicion, proof by induction, indirect proofs, proof by contrapositive.... I think that is it. Are there any general guidlines for when which method should be used?

I'm under the impression that no matter what the circumstances, air will always decrease in temperature when rapidly decompressed. I also believe that air increases in temperature when rapidly compressed. Am I correct?

My chemistry book has a question reading "Calculate the decrease in temperature when 2,000ml of a gas at 20.0 C is compressed to 1.0 L"

Using charles law (V1/T1=V2/T2) the answer to the above problem is -126.5C according to my chemistry teacher. How is this possible? Not only does this not make sense because gasses increase in temperature when compressed, but also in real life when you compress 2 liters of gas into a 1 liter space the change in temperature is barely noticable. Can anyone explain what's going on here?
Thank you

The graphs of the equations y=2x+1, y=-1/2x+11/2, and y=2x+4 form three sides of a parallelogram. Complete the parallelogram by writing an equation for the graph that forms the fourth side. Justify your choice.

Explain how to determine whether the parallelogram is a rectangle. Is it a rectangle? Justify your answer.

Graph the equation on the same coordiante axes. Is the graph consistent with your conclusion?

man wishes to vacuum his car with a canister vacuum cleaner marked 550 W at 120 V. The car is parked far from the building so he uses an extension cord 15.0 m long to plug the cleaner into a 120 V source. Assume that the cleaner has constant resistance.
(a) If the resistance of each of the two conductors of the extension cord is 0.900 , what is the actual power delivered to the cleaner?
W
(b) If, instead, the power is to be at least 540 W, what must be the diameter of each of the two identical copper conductors in the cord the young man buys?
mm
(c) Repeat part (b) if the power is to be at least 547 W. [Suggestion: A symbolic solution can simplify the calculations.]
mm

it seems like an obvious statement, but i'm having problems proving it. the actual statement is for prime p which does not divide integers a and b so that means that (a, p) = (b, p) = 1.

i've been working with the definition of divisibility but haven't gotten very far with that.

the second part of the problem asks me to prove that "a^p ≡ b^p mod p" implies "a^p ≡ b^p mod p^2" for the same conditions of a, b, and p. i've again made some attempts with divisibility rules, but to no success.

maybe you can give me some suggestions or anything. thanks a lot. here's what i have that seems to hold the most promise:

a^p ≡ b^p mod p implies

p | a^p - b^p

p | [a^(p/2) + b^(p/2)][a^(p/2) - b^(p/2)]

but i don't know.... anyways, thanks again for the help.

What I meen is, when we say 'I' , most of us mean our body(the way we feel our face muscles, male or female, how big or how small, our tone of voise, our habbits..........) at least that what I mean when I say 'I'.
But then who sees, who heers, who feels?
Eyes work by converting the light that 'hits' the eyes into electric impulses which then travel into our brain to be converted again for whom (very rough explanation of how eyes work)
So coming back to the seER, that ' picture' that I (not known I) see, does it mean that I am my brain, because it is the brain that sees, heers, feels or not? Maybe the brain is just converting all the information for me, but then who Am I?
If i am not my body, not my brain, but I see , I feel , I hear , Who am I? I see the feeling but I don't see myself, who am I?
Who are you?
not from books but from you own experience
