As unlikely an event as it may seem, for two celestial bodies to share the same orbit, it is not unprecedented. Saturn has a few pairs or triplets of moons that share or very nearly share the same orbit.

Epimetheus and Janus, two small moons, have orbits very close together and swap orbits about once every four years.

Another arrangement of co-orbital moons are trojan moons. In this case one larger moon shares the orbit with one or two small moons, with the small moons being either 60° ahead or behind the main moon in the orbit. There are two such arrangements in the Saturnian system.

In each of the above cases, the orbits of the moons involved seem to be stable long term.

This is a very difficult question to answer. From what I know, it is highly likely that the planets could exist on the same orbit around the sun. However, such a drastic movement of the Earth would most likely wipe out all living things in one shot. Even if some survived, the differences in temperature, the differences of longer years and so on would cause major problems. If you're interested in a similar scenario, have a look for a old TV show called "Space:1999". This is about the moon breaking away from Earth's orbit.

I think that's nearly impossible, the Mars orbit is fixed because of sun's gravity and Jupiter's gravity acting on it. That maybe happen if there's large comet or asteroid hitting on Mars.
