Can someone show me how complex functions and Euler's formula to derive the trigonometric identities below:
sin (x +/- y) = sin x cos y +/- cos x sin y
sin 2x = 2 sin x cos x
cos^2 (x) - cos^2 (y) = -sin (x+y) sin (x-y)

There is a lot of research work going on all over the world. Scientists are putting their heads together and trying to figure out the most practical ways to terraform mars. But can anyone tell me exactly WHY we are looking for another planet to live on when we have earth all to ourselves? Is it because of population explosion or becuse of the fact that earth will be swallowed up by the sun when it dies?

I have done research on aliens online, and watching TV shows and such..for years people have taken photos, films, etc of these beings with supernatural powers to heal, etc. people even claim they have been abducted. But does anybody really believe all these stories, I have never witnessed anything close in all the 34 years on earth. People say theybelieve there is life on other planets, but how, with no food, oxygen, materials to build anything, how can an alien create a UFO with ability to travel faster than the speed of light and not burn up, and what fuels it. Considering the amount of fuel it takes just to get the Space Shuttle to the moon, how is this possible for aliens to have this technology so advanced, what planet are they comming from, and why? any opinions, or facts..?
