I want to learn how to observe the sun using soho images.
Find out how to report happening on the sun and fill out reports
Email and see what gets sent back
Figure out when the next solar flare is coming and watch for it and report it.

Look at the data and figure out a solar storm is coming and report it and then as it happens watch for it on google news .
Learn what the sun looks like just before a solar flare happens and try to predict it .

I heard there are webpages on how to do that ..where are they?
I've tried all kinds of words but need some help searching .
I put in observing the sun online and it comes up with observing it with a telescope, i rather do it online.

HELP !!

If a person jumps from a building and maintains a verticle position with arms at the side how far would they have fallen after 3 seconds? 5? 8? Conversely, how fast would you be going when you hit the ground after jumping from a 5 story building? 10 story? and how long would those last two trips take?

okay
there were 3 men who went into a hotel, the attendent said the total cost was £30 for the room. they all gave £10 and went up. later on the manager said, its not 30, its £25. the attendent ran up with the five pounds and explained it was a mistake.
they were very understanding and said, give us a pound each and keep the 2 pounds for yourself.
so infact, because they got a pound back each they only paid £9 each. so thats £27. there was £2 pound tip, where is the other pound???

i actually dont know the answer to this please help.

I am currently working on a generator project. I am using a motor to turn an alternator to produce electricity. I have hooked the pulley on the motor to the pulley on the alternator with a belt. I am fairly sure the alternator is spinning fast enough to produce electricity because the motor is spinning between 1000-3000 rpms. I then have attached the alternator to a 12V car battery (to energize the electromagnet in the alternator).
I am trying to measure the amount of electricity produced by the alternator with a multimeter. I have tried several times to attach the multimeter to the alternator but I keep getting the reading of 12.67V which is the charge of the battery. I cannot figure out how to attach the multimeter to the alternator to get an accurate reading of the electricity produced by the alternator. Diagrams or pictures of how to wire this would be very helpful. Also does anyone know other ways to test voltage of an alternator? Does anyone know of other alternator projects?
